While the GH4 is a fantastic camera, I was excited to test out it’s new 96fps function.
So we went to Crich Tramways Village. It performed fantastically, although I feel the image is a little soft. This is probably due to the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 lens which was used, adapted to the GH4. Subsequent shoots with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 have been MUCH sharper, so I’m sure it’s just the Canon/GH4 combo that’s soft.
It’ll be interesting to see how the footage looks shot at 60fps and slowed down in post/twixtored.
I also graded the footage to give it a “retro” film feel.
